With the rampant amount of discount websites out there ranging from LivingSocial, GroupOn, DailyDeals and various small competitors I felt the need to post up some photos of the meals I get at these places that offer deep discounts. The first round takes us to The Fish Restaurant and Sushi Bar.

The Fish Restaurant and Sushi Bar used to be the new hotness on the block, it was the first sushi place that people would mention when Sushi was talked about among friends. As restaurants such as Japon, Blue Fish, 713, Zake and others started to offer happy hour coupled with the social scene everyone clamored for The Fish was left as a thing of the past. As of late, The Fish has been offering social hours in an attempt to get a much needed crowd back through the doors. I remember an all you can drink sake special for $5, people were stupid drunk on the cheap. Couple all of this with the severe lack of nearby parking and one instantly understands the need for another area around town.

At 1pm when we went, I was pretty surprised to see the dining area fairly empty, there were even parking meter spots available in front of the restaurants. I wasn’t expecting to be amazed but using the $20 groupon offer made the deal a nice casual lunch before heading out to The Galleria for some shopping.
